Potatoprint picnic in Paldiski, Muulamäed

A potatoprint picnic will be held at Peter's stronghold of Paldiski on
Saturday, July 11th 2009. The event is a part of Paldiski city days.
The picnic starts at 11 AM and will last as long as people are willing
to print. Tents for staying overnight are welcome. Campfire and music
in the evening. Everyone regardless of age, gender, nationality,
profession or artistic experience is welcome to participate! All
necessary equipment available on the spot. If you wish to print on
textile, please bring your own textile or piece of clothing. You can
also bring your own paints, colors, potatoes, paper, small carving
knife, friends, kids, pets, music instruments and other picnic related
stuff.
The event is free of charge.

Potatoprint at the Estonian Agriculture museum
Estonian Agriculture museum celebrates harvest festival on Sunday 12th of October
from 11.00 till 16.00. During the event it is possible to participate in a workshop
of potatoprinting and view exhibition of the works made on the 3rd Potatoprint festival.
The exhibition will stay open until the end of the year 2008.

Celebrating potato
2008. has been announced on the behalf of United Nations as the International Year
of Potato. The International Year of the Potato is raising awareness of the key role
played by the "humble tuber" in agriculture, the economy and world food security.
The practical aim is to promote development of sustainable potato-based systems
that enhance the well-being of producers and consumers and help realize the potato's
full potential as a "food of the future".

Potatoprint Festival II- two exhibitions opening in February
From the 2nd till the 29th of February there is an exhibition of the works made
during the Second International Potatoprint Festival on show in Pärnu at
Punane Torn (locating at Hommiku 11). The opening of the exhibition is
on Saturday 2nd February at 14.00. You are welcomed!
And finally, the works will also make it back to the birthplace of the festival,
to Laupa. From the 4th of February till the 7th of April the exhibition
introducing the festival will hang on the walls Laupa basic school,
situated in the mansion.

Potatoprint festival goes to Nu Nordic
10.-20.09.07 exhibition of the festival will be on view at Nu Nordic,
shop of Estonian design (Vabaduse väljak 8, Tallinn. Underneath Kunstihoone).
There will also be a display window around the theme of the festival.

Second International Potatoprint Festival 18-19.8.2007
This years festival is going to happen at the Laupa mansion that is only few steps
away from the ground of the first festival. The event is going to take place both in
the mansion and the park surrounding it. This environment of scenic beauty, by the
Pärnu River, is perfect for working outside in fresh air.
The ones wishing to participate have to advance register themselves.
We accept twenty participants to whom has been organized staying
at the mansion. Others non-registered are welcomed to try the
technique during the daily workshops or just out of curiosity come and see
what is happening.

Exhibition of the Potatoprint Festival
Exhibition showing works made durring this years festival will be at Polymer
Culturefactory in Tallinn (Ülase 16/ Madara 22).
Opening is on Thursday 23rd of August 2007 starting from 19.00.
The exhibition will stay open for two weeks, so until the 6th of September.
